Using some of this from another kink site but I think this is something that should be discussed before any wam session. It is both (all) parties right and responsibility to ensure that the things happening to them are made with a clear mind and enthusiasm. Additionally, it is both (all) parties right and responsibility to communicate if something becomes uncomfortable or unwanted. The person who offered their consent is allowed to withdraw it at ANY time and it is the responsibility of the receiver to honor any request for stopping it. A "good" and/or "experienced" Top or D type will make sure that negotiations are done in full before any interactions take place. Acting as a guide for the bottom or s type, ensuring that they understand exactly what they are about to get themselves into. Toys and devices should also be given an overview if they are involved. As well as safe words. A common stop light method is often used: Green - keep going, I like this. Yellow - slow down a little bit, or don't go any further. Red - full stop, we're done. You should always confirm the meaning of each phase before engaging! Consent and negotiations should ALWAYS be in the forefront of any kinky or BDSM interaction. I cannot repeat this enough!!! If someone tries to draw you in without this process, PLEASE be leery.
Take your time. Make sure you are comfortable. Be prepared for what you are about to do. Be open and honest with your playmate, Top, bottom, D type, s type. Then have some funking fun!!!
Great notes on making the terms of interaction extremely clear. I see it happen all too often when so much is left vague, and problems arise because of it. Also, be sure to write everything down in a contract! If nothing else that forces everybody to take everything seriously and pay attention.
